Check a KHPA ID

Verification

The surest check is to scan the QR code on the back of the card with a phone camera. It opens this page and confirms the card was issued by KHPA, shows who it belongs to and when it expires, and lists any emergency contacts the holder added.

Two letters followed by seven digits.

Add My Emergency Contacts

Card Holders
  1. Scan the QR code on the back of your KHPA ID with your phone camera. This page opens with your card already verified. If your card has no QR code yet, type your ID number below.
  2. Enter up to three people to call for you.
  3. Tap Create my emergency QR code. Save it to your phone’s lock screen or print the wallet card.
Your privacy: nothing you type here is sent to KHPA or stored online. Everything is kept inside your QR code, so anyone who scans it can read it. Only include what you want a helper to see.

How Verification Works

Standard

Each KHPA ID card QR code carries the ID number, name and expiration date, sealed with a KHPA digital signature. This page checks that signature on your own device, so it works without any online records, and any change to the card details makes the check fail. Emergency contacts are added by the card holder and are not checked by KHPA.
